The Lancashire town of Burnley is located in\nthe northwest of England 21 miles north of Manchester, around 30 miles west of\nBradford and 40 miles from Blackpool and the rest of the northwest coast. The\nYorkshire Dales and a number of other Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are\nalso on the doorstep. A former mill town during the Industrial Revolution,\nBurnley dates back to the Medieval period and its local market has been running\nfor over 700 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Burnley’s claim to fame is as a major hotspot for property flipping in the UK, frequently appearing at or near the top of national lists for the highest number of flipped properties in the UK. Property turnover remains high in the town, with an impressive 650<\/a> property sales locally over the last 12 months alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Burnley is home to an impressive 37\nprimary schools, the vast majority of which have been rated \u2018good\u2019 by Ofsted. Burnley\nStoneyholme Community Primary School and Holly Grove School have both been\nrated \u2018outstanding\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are five secondary schools for\npupils aged 11-16 in Burnley: Blessed Trinity RC Community College, Burnley\nHigh School, Sir John Thursby Community College, Shuttleworth College and Unity\nCollege. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impressive new complex Finsley Gate Wharf<\/a> on the Leeds\nand Liverpool Canal to the north of the town offers a range of dining, leisure\nand live entertainment options too and a new artisan market<\/a> has also\nbeen established on the first Saturday on the month to support local\nbusinesses.
