Since being inducted into the capital,\nHarrow has blossomed into a village-like London suburb with plenty to offer a\nvariety of homebuyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong>Did you know? <\/strong>Perhaps most famous for the eponymous Harrow School, Harrow\u2019s vibrant and diverse population is also home to over 80 places of worship. Even more interestingly, Harrow hosts one of the few <a href=\"https:\/\/londonist.com\/london\/secret\/things-you-didn-t-know-about-the-borough-of-harrow\">Zoroastrian<\/a> places of worship. The Zoroastrian religion, which was observed by the late Freddie Mercury, dates back to 1,500BC and is one of the most ancient monotheistic religions in the world.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With excellent links to the heart of\nthe capital, a wealth of excellent local amenities and lots of luscious\ngreenbelt only a stone\u2019s throw away, Harrow is one of the capital\u2019s most\npopular places to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But what is\nit actually like to live in Harrow? Let\u2019s find out, shall we?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transport links <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to transport connections,\nZone 4 Harrow is somewhat spoiled. Not only does the area have a dedicated overground\nstation, but it also has its very own Metropolitan Line underground station,\nHarrow-On-The-Hill. Nearby Zone 5 stations North Harrow, West Harrow and\nRayners Lane are also on the Metropolitan Line, South Harrow is on the\nPiccadilly Line and Zone 4 Sudbury Hill Harrow and Sudbury &amp; Harrow Road stations\nare on the Chiltern Railways Line. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harrow\u2019s main overground station offers\nfrequent links to London Euston as well as Watford Junction (stopping at many\ndestinations in between). Harrow-On-The-Hill\u2019s Metropolitan Line service is also\nincredibly reliable and stretches from Chesham or Uxbridge in the West (via two\nseparate branches) and Aldgate in the heart of East London \u2013 stopping at the\nlikes of Wembley and King\u2019s Cross along the way. From Harrow-On-The-Hill you\ncan be at Marylebone in an impressive 15 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harrow Bus Station is also connected to\nthe <a href=\"https:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/corporate\/publications-and-reports\/bus-schedules\">Transport for London\n(TFL) network<\/a> and runs a number of services to most major boroughs and regions\nwithin the capital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those travelling by motor vehicle,\nHarrow is close to the M25 and the A404, both of which offer solid links to\ndestinations in and around the capital. In short, if you want to get around London\nor head out of town in a car, on a scooter or riding a motorbike, it is fairly\nstraightforward!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nearest stations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/tfl.gov.uk\/hub\/stop\/HUBHOH\/harrow-on-the-hill\">Harrow-On-The-Hill\nUnderground<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrainline.com\/stations\/harrow-wealdstone\">Harrow &amp; Wealdstone\nOverground<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrainline.com\/stations\/kenton\">Kenton Rail Station<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Schools<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to your children\u2019s\neducation, naturally, only the very best will cut the mustard. With Harrow you\nare in luck, because the borough is home to a great choice of primary schools,\nsecondary schools, colleges, and settings with SEND (Special Educational Needs\nand Disabilities) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.family-action.org.uk\/what-we-do\/children-families\/send\/harrowsendias\/\">provision<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course, if money is no object, there\nis always the option of the prestigious <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harrowschool.org.uk\/\">Harrow School<\/a> for boys aged 13-18. But Harrow is\nalso home to a range of excellent alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk\/schools-by-type?step=default&amp;table=schools&amp;region=310&amp;la-name=harrow&amp;geographic=la&amp;for=primary\">60 primary schools<\/a> within the Harrow catchment\narea, many of which boast an official rating of \u2018Above Average\u2019 or \u2018Well Above\nAverage\u2019 in terms of performance. St Anselm\u2019s RC, Marlborough, Belmont, Byron\nCourt and Priestmead primary schools are all popular locally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For bigger kids about to embark on the\nnext phase of their schooling career, Harrow is home to at least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk\/schools-by-type?step=default&amp;table=schools&amp;region=310&amp;la-name=harrow&amp;geographic=la&amp;for=secondary\">25 secondary school\nsettings<\/a>,\nfive of which are rated \u2018well above average.\u2019 Co-educational Whitmore High, Wembley\nHigh Technology College, Claremont High and Rooks Heath College for ages 11-18\nplus Sacred Heart RC Language College for girls aged 11 to 16 are all highly\nrated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of further education, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harrow.ac.uk\/\">Harrow College<\/a> is a top-notch option. Here you will\nfind an inviting campus offering a wide range of academic courses, vocational\nqualifications and modern apprenticeships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh, and not forgetting the littlest\nmembers of the family. There are plenty of highly rated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harrow.gov.uk\/childcare\/parent-toddler-groups?documentId=12904&amp;categoryId=210265\">playgroups and nurseries<\/a> in the area too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Leisure and amenities <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are looking for those\nall-important essential goods, groceries, or a few bespoke independent gifts,\nyou won\u2019t have to venture far living in Harrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both\nSt Ann\u2019s and St\nGeorge\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harrow.uk\/shopping\/\">Shopping Centre<\/a> are home to a great mix of retail\nfavourites as well as a cinema complex and tempting eateries nearby. For the\nbig weekly shop, there are large branches of Morrisons and Tesco as well as two\nsmaller Tesco Express stores in the local area plus a Sainsburys in nearby\nKenton. And of course, the delights of Central London are only ever a short\ntube or bus ride away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re looking to get active, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everyoneactive.com\/centre\/harrow-leisure-centre\/\">Harrow Leisure Centre<\/a> offers a state-of-the-art gym,\na 33-metre main pool and smaller training pool, a variety of sports classes,\nand a sizable sports hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to green open space,\nHarrow is a London suburb that delivers the goods. The super leafy Pinner\nMemorial Park, 2020 Green Flag award-winning <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canonsparkfriends.org\/\">Canons Park<\/a>, and peaceful yet\nsporty Harrow Recreation Ground are just a few of the wonderful green open\nspaces on the menu.
