Golders Green is known\nfor its impressive architectural heritage and for being the heart of the Jewish\ncommunity in London since the early 20<sup>th<\/sup> century, although today the\narea is a real cultural melting pot which is also popular with the Japanese and\nKorean communities. An eclectic mix of famous faces hail from the area,\nincluding the actress Helena Bonham Carter, World Heavyweight boxer Anthony\nJoshua, comedian Michael McIntyre and 20<sup>th<\/sup> century novelist Evelyn\nWaugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Homebuyers are attracted to plentiful outdoor space and charming woodland in the shape of the Hampstead Heath Extension, Golders Hill Park and nearby Hampstead Heath, excellent schools and competitive house prices. In 2020, the average property price in Golders Green was \u00a3950,368, compared to \u00a31,590,880 in Hampstead and \u00a31,345,947 in nearby Childs Hill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slightly confusingly given its name,\nthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hgstrust.org\/the-suburb\/history-of-the-suburb.shtml\">HampsteadGarden Suburb<\/a> is located in Golders Green rather than Hampstead and is the\njewel in the area\u2019s crown. One of the first garden suburbs, it was designed by\nfamed architect Edwin Lutyens in 1906 and was the brainchild of Dame Henrietta\nBarnett who wanted to introduce a new residential area welcoming people of all\nclasses and backgrounds.
