Perhaps most famous in years gone by for its now defunct power stations, Didcot\u2019s combination of local amenities, rolling countryside and excellent transport links make it an ideal destination for young professionals and families alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The likes of Reading and Oxford are just a short hop, skip and a jump away, as is the emerald green landscape of the Chiltern Hills and Oxfordshire countryside, without the hefty price tag. There are also regular, direct services to Bristol Temple Meads, Bath, Cardiff and Swansea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Didcot\u2019s local<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thames-travel.co.uk\/timetables-fares\/\"> bus service<\/a> also offers extensive routes running in and around the town in addition to the nearby towns of Henley and Wallingford.
